Civil War Battle Reenactment - Prairie Grove, Arkansas
 
Two versions - original color shot and B/W treatment. I think the B/W give a more "historic" atmosphere. Opinions invited.

I could but then I would need to post a set-up shot of the set-up shot set-up shot. |

I really like the balconies (the building web site calls them demilune balconies) on this circular building called Carillon Tower. This shot has the shadows that show them off pretty well. in my notes there is a detail shot of the balconies,
juxtapositioned against another apartment tower of a different design.
There are five balconies & five apartments per floor. Architect was Donald Power Smith. It was built in 1964.
It's on Gough Street (Pronounced goff) like cough.) in my fair city.
Thanks to  Ann and others who guessed satellite - I liked Ann's answer best - sounds good to me! Here it is, below.
Sweet. That building couldn't have been cheap to build. According to dictionary.com, "demilune" is a fancy word for crescent shaped.*
The thing on the top looks like a typical HD satellite dish. It's possible that even if the building is wired for regular satellite already, the resident is getting satellite from a foreign language provider. For example, one of my Dad's neighbors has a second dish because she gets Greek language programming from some provider that's not DirecTV or Dish.
*For the prices they charge, they had better fancy up the name!
