Hoover's first encounter with Casper, another terrier pup, slightly older.

As for the remarks on my other images:
Hoover is a West Highland White Terrier (not a Yorkie, HarveyG ;-). This breed is related to the Cairn Terrier. Its main purpose was hunting foxes and badgers, out of their holes. To get a strong breed, a Westie was put in a barrel with a badger and they started a fight (to the point of death). Was the Westie the winner, he proved to be a strong specimen!
The white colour was intentional. It made the terrier more visible and distinctive from the prey, less chance to shoot the dog!
As for the POV, I normally also prefer a low POV but unfortunately the wet Scottish winter doesn't allow me to lay on the ground all the time, unless I'm not bothered laying in half an inch of water :-D

Cropped version, as suggested

Nice capture of the puppies sizing each other up. Even when dogs are playing they can look like they're fighting.

Only breed I could think of was Yorkie :) Sorry if I offended Hoover hehe :) The dhacshund was also bread to head into holes after prey. Sure it's not always easy to get 3" off the ground unless you have a DSLR with a tilt screen and the D7000 is not a prosumer model with that "feature"!

Nice duo colours here and typical dog interaction on a simple grey BG. Wait until they sniff each others...oh wait don't go there lol.

Hoover does have a bit of a growl-y expression - or was he just making friends :) Very cute pups.

Hoover saying "you're not the boss of me" other dog thinking "maybe I will just let this one slide, bigger or not" - Hoover, your getting into the terrible 2s lol

What a sweetie pie...Did you do something with their fur?

Really sweet. Once they start running around and playing, it's really hard to get a good shot. You've done well. I somehow always get two rear ends.

I just love your doggie action shots. I like how they have some of their paws off the ground. Shows they are goint to have some fun. Wonderful capture.

Again a beautiful pic - Hoover not amused, seems to snarl a bit. Nevertheless, perhaps the beginning of a long friendship after sorting out hierarchy...Would have cropped that much closer.

Great to see the interaction between the two puppies, probably even more fun to watch how this develops.
As a small suggestion I would clone (or crop) out the leaf on the right - it doesn't add anything and is now a (small) distractor. It also clear you like Hoover best, because that's where you focused on, but with the large aperture you now miss the focus on Casper's nose.
