I nearly forgot to put a shot up from this weeks work. It's been a bit crazy.

I am doing Team and Individual images for a local Youth Basketball group. Just 39 teams of Basketball and Cheer..... Yeah it's good money but shooting portraits for 13 hours yesterday made for a tired Johnny, and I have 14 teams left next Saturday!

I haven't gotten out for week 4 yet - sorely tempted to "cheat" and post something from last weekend as I spent the better part of three days taking photos :) But I do like to get out and still have nearly a week yet, so I'll wait. Not off to a good start this year - my year is starting at week 3.

My theme for the year, is in camera multiple exposures. Probably won't appeal to 99% of viewers, but c'est la vie.

I have to say I am loving all this feedback it is extremely helpful. Thank you everyone.
To Nam and Ann who asked why 5 images, its because although the composition is the same for each, the lighting/direction of light is different on each image so I bring them together on seperate layers and use masks to 'paint' in only what I want. There was an extra layer here as origionally I didnt have the blade in the background but thought I would take a shot in case I wanted to use it.
The background is actually a white wall, the blue tone has come about I guess from using Auto WB, Im not excatly sure which setting to use, I was using an LED torch and did try several settings but went back to Auto?

Is the LED a new generation LED? There are two types, warm white and cool white,
Warm White Colour Temperature: approx. 2700-3200K
Cool White Colour Temperature: approx. 6000-6500K

Get yourself a grey card from your local camera shop, they are inexpensive and then shoot the scene with the grey card in it. Use that for correcting colour later when editing. Shoot RAW and on AUTO WB. Apologies if you are aware of the grey card technique.

If you have a rental company or pro studio in the vicinity you can find out if they have an advanced colo(u)r meter you can test your LED's on but my guess is seek out the LED manufacturers website and hope the technical spec gives you the light temp.

Something like the Kenko Colour Meter 3100 (A copy of the original Minolta Colormeter iiiF from 10+ years ago)

When I first saw this structure, I thought to enter the entire building as my Oddity of the Week. But, unable to resist that 'balcony' on the 11th floor, the cropped version goes in instead. The entire building is in the notes.
Situated on Hyde Street, it's in one of our more expensive districts.
