These 6 are my first shots of this side challenge. I went into my 'real' job and found that there had been a scheduling error in my benefit. No one double checked the master schedule to see if the missing nurse was accurate. Instead, they just called in another nurse and let me go home. So, I went downtown to catch some nighttime street shots, as well as try out the high ISO settings on new toys. Here is what I came up with.

She was just standing there, staring off into the distance.
I cropped this shot, saturated the colors - dodged the flora and the light, bumped up the color on her scarf and purse, sharpened the photo.
Please feel free to tell me how I am doing with my PS skills as I am learning as I am going and appreciate brutal honesty.

October 3:
EDIT: I replaced my original upload with another nearly identical shot taken at the same time. The second photo is not as sharp as the first, but but I like Ms. Moss's expression better in this one, and more of Mr. Esparza's face is visible.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the comment thus far. I was a bit rushed when I posted the shots...too much 'real job' work going on right now. I went back and added the shooting info as a couple of you had asked. Mine were shot at f/2.8 and a 3200 ISO. The lack of noise on this camera is unbelievable! |

These are a couple from the last week in September - I haven't had a chance to really get out where I can shoot since! I have not yet begun to comment - still trying to vote the Free Study - but will get here soon, I promise! |

A few people now have asked about my Black and White processing, so I'm going to do a little video about it tonight. Should have it ready for tomorrow. |

I promised to comment on as many as possible but wasn't planning on posting, but I was in Manchester CT this Saturday with my camera in hand and dog at my feet and was able to get a few from this interesting suburb of Hartford. I hope these live up to the shots in the thread so far....and now back to commenting....
