I promised I'd stop processing shots like this. I'm not there yet. So yes, it's noisy, kinda soft, and the color has a slight twang. But it's the real thing.

I get shots like these while I'm briskly walking by -- camera in my right hand with the strap wrapped tightly around my wrist. Since my hand is swinging back and forth like a pendulum, I shoot on the back swing, since that's when my hand is momentarily at rest (so to speak) and about to change directions. So usually the shots are crooked. Rarely do I try to rotate them. And I get a lot of duds too -- focus or exposure is off, or just motion blur. High ISO and a bright but overcast day are about the only times these shots work out.

You may have seen me boo-hooing about my point-and-shoot in the forums, but I'm convinced I can only get shots like this with a small, very instant and responsive camera.

I really like your technique for getting this shoots, the angle it's nice, good composition and the editing really adds to it.

I like the angle you shot this at. I'll have to give it a try/

Great smile! Perhaps seeing a dear friend. Nicely framed with the poster and person on the right. That's a great shot with the swinging camera, I'll have to try that technique with the T-10. Did you have to crop this one?

the facial expression - the fact that this smile of the woman and the man in the ad are almost the same - it works

not crazy about this type of processing but it does give an extra edge to the shots

Her smile definitely makes me smile. You can still shoot from the hip with a dSLR - it just takes a bit more practice. I'll start giving it a shot and pass along any helpful advice I may discover. Or when you get yours, you can do the same!

Along with the funky colours and the psych ward shirt, that smile just tops it off. Looks like a real character you've captured here.

And the expression seems to have a slight twang as well! Fun shot, central figure nicely framed/buttressed by female figure on one side, poster guy on the other. - Really appreciate your sharing more of your m.o. - you ARE stealthy!
