Shot at dusk in very dying light. Stood in this location for a few minutes, just shooting various combinations of pedestrians as they went by. No one seemed to notice or pay much attention. Gotta love being nearly invisible sometimes. :-)

I think I need to up my ISO, go with the noise (I don't mind it at all) and use a smaller aperture for some of these scenes.

The eyes of the models in the posters seem to be looking dead on to the little girl..as if to say "you are the next generation we are after" - and the ZERO ironically implies the importance of fashion to day to day life (to me)

I think the ISO is fine, but I bet I'll be dazzled by whatever you do. Good clarity and sharp focus here. The two poster heads bookending the scene really work. I think the girl saw you.

Neat body language for the kid and the mom. I like the guy in the background, too. Nice street shot.

I'm not sure that a change in dof would be good here. My eye is drawn around the image, especially to the posters, then travels to the man and back to the subject. Like the shot.

I'm not sure about the use of a smaller aperture for this one, I love it the way it is,the women on the posters seem to be looking at the girl, that sends my eyes back to the main subject again.

Perhaps, as you say, a shallower depth of field would help draw attention to the people here. I like it as is though, the lettering really draws my attention but doesn't hold it too much, I'm still free to look around. A fun scene. If you really want noise grab my D200 from time to time... hehe.

Love the photo and the 3 comments below! Plus the attitude of the mom - I can't think exactly what it is, only something out of Heloise - a grown up attitude. Very rich. For zero.

So much to look at...perhaps the zero can be taken as a comentary on the lifeless manikins.

I like how the posters of the women look into the photo and create a kind of symmetrical framing device. "Zero" seems to be a commentary on something. The b&w works well.

You may feel invisible sometimes, but children see all! :-)

three stories by three people - the man alone and searching, the woman watching, and the girl seeing
