Santa Cruz Wharf - took this Oct 3rd. but am using it as Oct. 4th's shot as I can't get out today to shoot.

Brutal honesty is so appreciated especially as it relates to my pp in which I did the following;

Changed to B&W - sharpened - added some film grain - burned a few places in the sky that were kinda blown - dodged the middle guy's face around the eye where it went too dark when I bumped the contrast.

What is holding everyones interest is sea lions. The railings the people are leaning on surround a hole cut in the wharf. Underneath huge sea lions climb up on the cross beams that support the wharf and lie there making loud noises.

four looking down...very cool that the bird is also playing the game

Great capture and nice, clean processing. The bird is a great addition to the shot. One of the better titles so far.

Gotta laugh! This is a most curious assemblage, the guys are fun enough but the pigeon is the icing. Or maybe it is Curly who seems to be making an effort to enjoy it as much as the cyclists, whatever "it" is.

ditto to what others have said, this is a great capture and now I'm curious of what they were looking at

Very good candid -- could also have been called "three chrome domes" :-p

As others have said, it makes me laugh that the pigeon is looking down, too.

I like the shot and wonder what they're looking at. Even the dove seems interested. You post processing looks good to me. The dodging in the sky worked without giving it away.

This, to me, is a great shot! Makes you wonder what they're looking at, for one thing, and why they find it so funny. And I love the bird who seems curious about the whole ordeal as well. I think your processing works fine. The three characters (and the bird) are crisp and well defined. Fun shot!

Great shot. I may be seeing things, but I think there are some halos appearing around the men's shoulders.

Very nice. This is one of the most interesting shots so far. I didn't notice the pigeon at first, but that is hilarious! I tend to agree with Sarah that a little more contrast would have helped. What program are you using and how are you changing the image to BW?

Love this capture. Something very interesting must have been going on down there. I would like to see a little bit more contrast in the B&W conversion as this feels a little bit flat for my tastes.

The processing is clean -- I like it. Good contrast and a great story -- wonder what they're looking at. Perfectly framed.
