B & W is pretty much all I do, tons more in my portfolio...I am my own best competitor, you have to be if you really want to grow as a photographer.

I feel that these are my best

It makes me think of a toss-up between a Norman Rockwell painting and the Coppertone Girl Billboard

Love the concepts and it is always wonderful when the live butterfly models cooperate.

Both concept pieces that are sentimental and contemplative/reflecting.

B&W is not my thing, persoanlly. I just don't do it a lot. But, I think this came out well.

some of the ones I like best. Doesn't mean they ARE my best or that you think there are my best B&W's :)

edit: I like a bit high contrast :)

My "Zen" entry, converted at the suggestion of Jutilda. I like it both in color and B&W.

One of my favorites.

I like how the mood is set by BW here (adds mystery):

And how it can focus your attention on the vastness:

As well as removing distractions, e.g, from a sunset, while preserving mood:

I like the subtle tones here (not as easy to see in this small version):

Also removes the possibility of "discordance" when people discover in a color shot that Glaciers are blue not white:
