My fav. I've got online...
And to answer the 'what makes a good b&w' question. Tonal range in the subject of the image, overall tonal range, and texture..
This snow shot of mine I absolutely love because in the large (20x11) print I have on the wall here at home you can see blurred snowflakes falling against the black of the trees.. And it carries almost the full white to black gamut..
Oh, and I find it quite calming to look at, and all that good artsy stuff.

Absolute rubbish Stormy, those are great shots, don't put yourself down!

Oh and yes, natators right about the lighthouse being great in B & W, but to be honest I think the colour works even better.

I don't think mine really compare to some of the beautiful work posted here, but as others have noted - I have grown quite fond of them! (Actually, I did some reworks of my Grand Canyon photos into B/W that I really like but have yet to upload them here. Will have to do that soon!)
