Not really a overlooked gem, but I processed the heck out of it anyway :-)

I have so many car shots I haven't even touched yet...so I hope at least some of you like cool rides.
I just wanted to keep the editing real simple and leave this as a documentary sort of image, B&W conversion and some rotation to level it up a bit. |

Also, I've encouraged people to put all the photos in one gallery in their profile. I should have added that it's helpful to include any questions discussion in the image description--since that way, you can read it, comment on the image, and then go directly to the next image in their gallery if you are behind in your commenting.

Fair enough.... I will have to be very diligent in keeping up in the thread. Still, I am looking forward to the next 51 weeks. :)
Thanks for the reply. |

Week 1 original & edit
I literally went through hundreds of pictures from early 2006 looking for something, anything worth editing. I have tons of snapshots of the kids and a boatload of crap. This one was the best from the 1st 5 months of 2006.

Edits
From July 2006. I was still using my Panasonic FZ30 prosumer at the time. Took my nieces to the airport and because they were minors I was able to accompany them to the gate (a no-no since 9/11). So I took the time that EARLY morning to get some shots.

Since part of the idea of this thread is to "process" old images, I'd like to encourage everyone to list their editing steps in as much detail as is practical, so we can all learn from what's been done. |

Should we do that here or on the image notes? |

In the image notes is where it belongs -- available to everyone who sees the photo, not just those in this thread. Also, then it doesn't take up space here ... you can see almost any of my photos for an example of what *I'm* considering "detailed" editing steps ... |

I uploaded a scaled down copy of my starter image for the second week.
I shot this last April on a DPC get together with Bergiekat and Kawesttex. I've played with this or a similar shot before, but was never quite satisfied with what I got. I'm open to ideas. I've got a lot of photos from this GTG that I have not touched yet. I will probably use a lot of them for this side challenge.

Thanks, nshapiro, for allowing me, Ken and a few others to sneak in at the last minute. I have more stuff to work with than I realized!
A pretty sraightforward black and white conversion on this one. I think the square frame works here... |

Since I came in a little late (I assume this is week 2) here is my week 1 original image. I'll give a day for any comments, I already have a few ideas on what I'm going to do to make this pop a bit. I'll post week two shortly.

Thanks for the helpful list!
It reminds me of an old sign from my Free Clinic days:
Let's get this thing organized!
(and take all the fun out of it) |
