Week 5: Wherein Twix discovers that stones aren't edible. That dang hardwiring for grazing, desert or not. 200,000 clicks ago. ;-)

I've haven't done much with this lately with the summer holidays and all the editing for a wedding I did a few weeks ago. I'm back on board now and ready to comment and hopefully submit a few images to catch up soon!

I missed doing one last week. This one caught my eye, as it is from the same set that resulted in my second highest scoring shot.

Out of the camera:

Time for me to go look at what everyone else has posted in the last week...

Based on feedback, I tried toning down the green on the horse a bit - any better? He is rather green and the processing really overemphasized that!

Week 5 entry for the Archive Photo a Week. Check out all of the images here:
Archive Photo a Week Thread

This is a shot of a Sumatran tiger from the Toronto Zoo.

Last night I learned of a new sharpening technique in the forums. I was first alerted to it by reading the description of mpeters's photo Princess, where he described the Adamus sharpening tip. I did a search of the forums and found a posting by jdannels that included this link:
Adamus Sharpining tip.

I reallly liked the results, and will be playing with it many times over.

Tried to edit something I shot with a P&S a couple of years back. Kind of a low contrast pic to start with, but I wanted to see what I could do with this one.

And since yospiff asked, here's a picture of the bridge from that same vantage point:

An added bonus - a shot taken a couple of weeks ago from a slightly different perspective:
