Welcome to this week's "Member of the Week" post. Every week I will post the name of a member and a link to their profile. This will be our Member of the Week. Go have a look at their profile page and/or portfolio. Enjoy their photos, leave some comments and most of all post one or two of their photos in this thread so others can see them and enjoy them. If you like you can also write a little blurb saying why you enjoy this member's photos.
This week's Member of the Week is Deb Fort, Melethia. And here are a couple of her photos.

OMG, you chose one of my favorite photographers on this site. Melethia took a special trip at my request to a small town in Germany, She posted some wonderful photos of a place near to my heart. Here are a few of them
But even before this special walk down memory lane, she was someone I greatly respected. Her images from the sandbox were fascinating to me
And my favorite of all, this timeless classic

Honoured maybe but its definitely deserved Deb. You bring almost as much to this community in the written word as you do with your photography :)
Congrats girl :) |

Excellent choice !!
Deb's work is always a pleasure to view as she has her own style and vision.
Hugely prolific, and in challenges usually underrated.
Here are just a few from the countless available - enjoy.

Oh this is such a fine, Fine, FINE & INSPIRED choice.
Not only is Deb one Brilliant Photographer, but she's the most Wonderful Warm Woman and a Fantastic Member of this site.
My computer is on the fritz right now, so I can't upload any images that are my favs, but I'll come back soon and share the images of Deb's that I love the most!
Happy week to you Deb and Well done again Karen on your choice! |

It's funny that you mention your lack of artistic creativity in your biography section. Artistic creativity is the one thing that you excel at, and it's the very thing that sets you apart from soulless, characterless, meaningless fluff that frequently covers the front page. Congratulations Deb and keep up the good work!

Deb is one of DPC's most under-rated photographers. This is one of my all time favorite finds:

Of everyone I have "met" at DPC, Deb is the standout. From the days of the middling masses, from her time in Texas and through her move to Germany and the tours since then I have chatted and shared more with Deb than anyone else. She has given alot to my family and become a true friend even though we have never physically met. The cool thing is that this Friday that aspect will change. An excellent choice Karen. Congrats Deb - truly well deserved. |

Congratulations Deb,
I know how much you struggle with set pictures.
You're brilliant when it comes to capturing the beauty of the world around you.
One of many favorites of mine is the series about Buedingen.
I'm glad and proud to have you on Team Germany |

Yay! Another reason to rummage through her portfolio again. It's been a while! Here are a few of her shots I already have in my favorites
And look at the number of comments she's made... how does she find any leftover time to shoot?
Great choice Karen! Congrats Deb! :) |

The breadth of Deb's work is outstanding. A quirky yet straightforward style, completely agreeable, and wonderfully seen.
Here are a just a few of my favorites...

Yay what a spectacular choice! She is an awesome person that I have gotten to know a bit thru her pictures and her comments. She also is an amazing photographer. I was totally fascinated by her Trip-to-the-Beach (or desert) pictures and inspired by her ability to find the beauty in a foreign and war-torn land.
Some of these have been chosen already but probably also deserve a second glance:
(forgot to add WALKIES)
Congrats Deb!

Deb rocks on so many levels.
The world around us is her canvas on which to paint the subtleties that we so easily overlook.
Her use of black & white is so right for the images she chooses to do that with.
and one of my personal favorites:
ETA: Yup - killed yet another thread.

LOL! Can't let you do that, Brad.
Seriously, what's kinda neat about this thread is I see shots of mine I haven't seen in awhile. I still like 'em. So from my own point of view, I still like what I do. May be a lesson there for a lot of us!
Thanks for all the kind words! Your checks are in the mail... :-) |
