 This is perhaps a bit of a cheat in a way. This is the same little lake I entered last month. I was here again two weeks later, this time for vacation. I do think this is the better shot of the two - better weather (much clearer), different lens (10-22), different light (morning versus evening), leaves had filled on the trees quite a bit, and I shot from a slightly different perspective.

I tonemapped the original then did some small tweaks. Cloned out a dust bunny or two but did no other signifcant isolated work on it. It was a gorgeous morning for taking pictures of an Alpine lake.

I didn't vote in this FS, but what a striking picture - love the colours and strong leading lines drawing the eye up to the wonderful mountain.

A bit oversaturated in my opinion (particularly in the oranges beneath the tree) . I love the composition though: It has nice strong wedges and great leading lines.
