Wholeheartedly agree on this one. Marvelously thought-provoking image for me.

I love Free Studies. I enjoy the heck out of voting them, then going back over them after the voting closes. I'm not Don, but we did pick the same shot for Blue. And I love Catherine's, and in fact encouraged her to enter it, score be damned - and she gets a Postie! Too cool!

Without further ado and meaningless rambling, here are my picks for the ribbons, and a few Honorable mentions:

Most underrated shot of the challenge, by far:

Take a few moments to really look at this, absorb what it is, what it says... it's freakin' amazing.

And a few more that were in my top 20:

Great work, folks - really enjoyed the opportunity to see what all of you do with cameras.

Thanks, Deb. I did, and as a result, I left a much more positive comment than my quick-run vote.

Surprisingly, three of my top four in Alone in a Crowd were the ribbon winners, in the same order. Only difference was my 3rd place:

(yes, as a father of young daughters, I'm a sucker for this type of shot)

Thank you, Deb!

I had a few ideas for the challenge... most just like the winners, but decided against them because I found this guy..

In Fairy Tales, I don't see how you could pass up this gem:

The light cast to it adds to the fairy tale feel, the children (and clothing / hat) are just adorable with the basket and path through the woods. If you know Hansel & Gretel - this does not need a caption. My only "complaint" is that there are too many pieces of bread - one or maybe two would've done the trick.

for SP. I'm shocked at some of the results. nixter - you rock
