from the recent fires in southern California. The fire burned right up to the golf course and made for some interesting contrasts. Thanks for the great comments.

I'm one of the other dummies along with Yanko. Geesh, you'd think we'd get a clue, don't you? This is magnificent on so many levels. Thanks for taking it and sharing it with at least a few of us. :-)

HA! I voted this an 8 and I contend that I am not a dummie (I conceed that Yanko is one though! :) 5.1!!!!!!!!! You were completely R-O-B-B-E-D on this shot. Well done and keep shooting cool interesting stuff that tells stories. Of course if you want a slam dunk high score then perhaps you should shoot something really fascinating like...wine glasses...or a deer head. : )

Well, I was one of the dummies who voted this a 4. Just didn't spend enough time with it, and for that, I apologize. What a contrast between nature's chaos and sometimes lack of obvious beauty vs. the sterile artificiality of our constructions like golf courses. There's no question I'd prefer to spend time turning over rocks and walking in the woods than playing golf.

Ha! I love your title - it adds more purpose and interest to this image. Tells a great story. The image opens huge & square and yet all I want to focus on is the teeny spot in the corner. Very cool...nicely done. 8

Fantastic shot. The scale is perfect. Not just photographically, but metaphorically.

Excellent! Perfectly composed and unique. Just goes to show that there's always a shot if you look hard enough.

nice frame job of the golfer, I can only assume you were looking for your own ball in the riverbed. :P
