Welcome to this week's "Member of the Week" post. Every week I will post the name of a member and a link to their profile. This will be our Member of the Week. Go have a look at their profile page and/or portfolio. Enjoy their photos, leave some comments and most of all post one or two of their photos in this thread so others can see them and enjoy them. If you like you can also write a little blurb saying why you enjoy this member's photos.

This week's Member of the Week is Don Giovanni, posthumous. And here are a couple of his photos.

Oh dear. Hopefully this won't go to his head.

My all time favorite shot (of the past few weeks, anyway) is this one, and I'd love to tell you why, but I have no idea:

It has a nice companion in this shot:

And a couple more.

Hey, now that I post these, I see a pattern....

Spectacular choice.

Congratulations Don - you are the most wonderful member and I'm thrilled to see you in the spotlight...

Wonderful choice for this week, Karen! I haven't spent much time browsing through Don's photos, but there are some great photos hiding in there! I'm grateful for the Posthumous ribbons threads. I started getting wrapped up in trying to take the 'eye candy' shots, until Don came along and made it okay to think outside the box around here. Now, I make sure that I like my shots, and if someone else does too, then that's just a bonus!

And now, a few photos...

uh-oh, I hope you haven't jumped the shark, Karen!

Thank you very much. I'm honored. I won't let it get to my head, Deb, I promise!

A bold nomination who surely cannot survive the scrutiny of a Congressional Hearing process.

But in the meantime I say 'Bravo, Dead Guy' ... for being a thoughtful and patient guide to those of us with less developed artistic sensibilities. Don has certainly contributed more to the fostering of critical thought and analysis than any other member of this site. And in so doing, he has raised both the standard and the reach at DPC of photography of consequence.

Couldn't be a more worthy recipient of your nomination, Karen

Great choice! I like his unique perspective and sense of humor that show in his photos. Congrats Don!

A great choice, Karen. To paraphrase Charles Gounod, "Don Giovanni is a work without blemish, of uninterrupted perfection." And I always thought he was just a pizza delivery guy.

A fantastic choice! I often enter shots in challenges in hopes of being recognized by Don. It has happened once and I was thrilled. His Posthumous thread is a big reason I enjoy this site so much.

Two of my favorites:

I am not sure if it appropriate to post pictures while Don is still alive. I think it defeats his namesake.

He has other ones... but I think they are hidden?
