He just couldn't stand it anymore. Fluffiness didn't suit Maurice.

"But it's chilly," said Maurice.

"Sorry. It just had to be this way. Now a Lapp child will survive the winter."

I did a lot of work on this. I cropped it. I did shadow highlights. Then I masked out the background and blurred it and desaturated it, to bring out the foreground. Finally, resize, USM the foreground layer. Fix the mask some more.

I don't know what's creepier, the goat's expression or the hand in the corner.

I like the almost 3-D effect you achieved with the processing. And I like the look on the sheep's face as it peers out from its compromised position. (edited for typo)

This should have scored way higher than a 5.4. I gave it an 8. The look on the sheep's face just totally made the picture.

6 - Nice catch with the sheep looking at the camera. Like the unusual desaturation, although it seems a little odd on the man in the rear. Such a small portion of the image (the sheep's face/look) is key in this, that (although it still works as is) I wonder whether it would have been much stronger with a different crop, but difficult when the shears are at the other end of the frame. Also be good to see the shearer's face, but then that is 'another image' - and I doubt you'd get the excellent look on the sheep's face 'again'. This one does tell a story - including how dirty that sheep looks...

Ha, the expression on the sheep's face is hilarious! I wish the composition were a bit different, with more sheep at the bottom and less fence at the top.

I wish it wasn't cropped tight at the bottom. The sheep expression is priceless :)

Never come between a man and his sheep . . .

I love the look on the sheeps face - I'm not sure whether it is trying to pose for the camera or warn him that they are being watched :- )

What on earth is going on and why is the sheep smiling about it??? Looking at the camera like she's saying "hey, you wanna play too"?
