 rotate, crop, curves, hue/sat to get rid of the excessive yellows and reds, cloned out and dodged some distracting blobs (not features!) on the top.

My initial thought when I saw this was "up the down staircase". I really like the shallow dof.

Other than a little high ISO noise on the woodwork, this is a well composed and interesting view of a common housepet. (of course, the fact that I am a cat lover helps!)

I like your picture, I would have like it even more, if you had less backgroung and more of the cat, he is lovely. Also the light is not helping, overall looks a bit dark
