Have a suggestion to make: (sherpet, please close your eyes for a few seconds!)
We only have five more days on sherpet's fantastic adventure. I have had a great time working this side challenge and appreciate all the friendly comments, as I am sure all of you have. I feel it would be nice to leave her a parting gift.
On Sunday, the night of August 31st, at 12:00 a.m., I am suggesting all the participants uniformly post, side by side, three of what they consider to be their very best images in the flower, side challenge- with no comments. (Much like is done with the ribbon winners on the home page.) Best image- six spaces-best image-six spaces- best image. These would appear uniformly on successive pages with the participant's name and their prized flowers. Then, if sherpet liked, (or anyone else for that matter) she could print it out for her scrap book.
I realize this is her thread and I do not want to monopolize it with a discussion. So if you are in. . . just post it come Sunday night. No discussion, please. If you see a problem or have a concern with the idea, please PM me.
Posting starts at 12 midnight but post whenever you can afterward.

earlier in the month I showed a flower from the Santa Cruz Arboretum.
I just came across this closeup of a similar flower in my files from
the same place some four years ago. I dusted it off and thought I'd show it off here...

 tighter crop as suggested and an even tighter crop  . I'm not used to being able to crop so much and still have a sharp image, lol. |
