I have been pulling it off of IPTorrents. If you need an invite to that site PM me and I will send you one. They have had both episodes so far. |

They have the entire show on the vh1 website each week. I'm just watching them, thanks for the offer though. |

Unfortunately I can't pull episodes off of the network sites. Since I am in Korea they pick up my IP address and say it is only for viewers in North America. Thus, i have to pull everything I watch off of torrent sites, or worse yet, wait for AFN to show the episodes 6 months later. And then they don't even show all of the tv shows out there. They are playing the season finale of Heroes this weekend...season 1. I am on episode 8 of season two. Thank god for torrents!

Maybe in the northeast, it already re-aired at 16:00 local time. I know the 2nd episode re-airs a few times before the new, 3rd episode airs on Sunday. Check your local listings.

The Shot, Episode 2 is re-airing once again tonight at 22:00 for those on the west coast of the U.S. That's about one hour from now.
To find out other times that it airs, view the schedule for this show. From that page, you can even set reminders for you. Now there are no more excuses for missing the show. ;-)

Wow! Dean really lightened up on last night's episode (#3).
I guess with him surrounded by good photographers, it puts him in his place. Last week, his team was made up of submissive photographers, so he could "crack the whip" and be a jerk.

Yep, he was a lot less of a tyrant in this episode. His shot in the pool definitely showcased his style, but it was not a good shot to show off the dress.
Piper annoys the crap out of me. "Everybody is against me. They're all going to sabotage me. My team is out to get me. I haven't slept in three days because one of them is gonna slit my throat if I nod off." Good grief, somebody kick her off already. |

I think Piper just got lucky last night. She's just too anal. In the real world, that won't cut it. She has to learn to balance her anal-retentiveness with the established timelines.
I don't know, do you think she's avoiding taking photos by being so particular in her setups? Is she that afraid of failure? She needs to go. However, I have a sick feeling that she'll be the dark horse and last to the end (or close to it).

I like that guy...um the guy with the longish hair. The nice one who worked with Maria. I think he takes a well picture and has a nice personality to boost.
I just wanted Piper to GET THE HECK OUT.
She took a good picture, but she took 5 billion years and was like talking to the model mostly. And she's really annoying i mean, shes not cooperative, shes by herself, its like that one person on the reality show that wont like anyone [and never wins]. She Bugs me. In the real world, she'll be the person no one LIKES working with. She'll take an occasional good picture, and get hired, but once they find someone better, they'll dump her butt for someone with a better attitude [isnt that a quality of a good photographr]?.
I overall love the show The Shot. =] Fashion photography = <3 and also Fashion Photography = >=o

I cracked up when Dean had his "team meeting" in this episode. There the other team is getting creative in their meeting, trying stuff out (not that it did them any good in the end) and here's Dean making a point of telling Piper that the other team members were on board because he trusted them, and SHE was only on the team because he was forced to pick last.
Way to encourage team unity!
So naturally Piper goes out and nails the best shot of the session, hands-down. You could tell, during the judging, that she was actually disappointed that her team (DEAN's team) won; she knew if they lost, Dean had the worst image on their team and he was at risk. That's what she wanted to see happen, you betcha...
Expect to see them keep Dean and Piper both around as long as possible, and to keep them butting heads as much as possible; the a$$hole vs the byotch, great television, right? :-)

I didn't see the other nights episode but I believe you're right about Dean and Piper hanging around for a long time. This show has nothing to do with finding the best photographer. It is ALL about ratings! Who ever gives them the best ratings will last the longest. |

Well... of course it's about ratings. But I actually think that is why one or both of them (Piper/Dean) will have to go soon. It will probably be Piper since she seems to fall down both on the personality side and the talent side (at least as far as her ability to work under an extreme deadline). Reality shows like villains, but too much conflict can turn an audience off. And they really haven't established a counter-personality to the villain(s) yet, that would make the conflict that occurs more dramatic.
Conflict is good for reality t.v., but it has to be limited. If they want to be successful in the mode of Project Runway, Top Chef, Top Model, etc. the focus eventually has to be mostly on the talent/product. I don't know if they have the concept for this program nailed quite yet. They, like Top Model and unlike Top Chef and Project Runway, are focusing more on the personalities and less on the actual work being produced. We're only getting brief looks at the actual pictures taken, not getting much of anything in regard to the selection and editing of those photos by the team, and almost as little in regard to each photographer's selection of equipment, lighting, props, etcs. (which has mostly already been chosen for them). As models are cut, Top Model begins to focus less on personality and more on the product, challenges, and talent. I'm hoping that a similar form is followed with The Shot. If not, I doubt I'll consider sticking with the program.

Ever since Omarosa made me want to tear my eyes (and ears) out on The Apprentice a few years ago, reality TV has ALWAYS cast a character like her. Dean is that character. I highly doubt he'll win, but I would bet he is at least a couple weeks away from elimination. It is unfortunate that his personality is so abbrasive, as his talent is considerable, to say the least. Either way, it is a fun show, and it's cool to see what ways they come up with to torture the contestants. Honestly, I'm not sure how well I would have done hanging over that cliff either! :)

Okay, having said that, who else is glad that Piper got eliminated from the competition? Woo whooo!!! I'm happy she is gone. Also, what's up with Robin? She can't take any criticism at all!

I'm quite happy that she's out.
Some of the beach shots were awesome, think Dean had some nice ones but they never actually reviewed/critique'd them, he should have been up there as team leader. The hair shoot was also a disaster, have to agree with the judges... expecting more out of next weeks campaign/task. |

I'm a little confused by the hair challenge that they had... they were given the trampolines to use, but it seemed like maybe they weren't actually supposed to use them? How do you get models to bounce on a trampoline AND make hair look like hair-commercial hair? It almost seemed like an impossible set up.... |

Agreed! I really wish there had been some sort of "this is what we were looking for..." after everything was said and done. They don't do a very good job of educating their photographers as to what they are looking for. I kept thinking what the heck do they want? They clearly had some kind of expectation in mind.
Won't miss Piper! |

I didn't like the hair challenge, either. If they want the hair to frame the face, don't put the models on trampolines.
