    Biography: Keeping the Sass Alive.

This is where Langdon wanted me to say how awesome he is. So I did, because it's true.

    L2's thoughts on Hairbands

Meaning the elastic bands that people use to contain the length of longish hair, not 80's music, which, although awesome, has forever ruined the mullett as a legitimate form of hairstyle. So, this is not Hair Bands (ew!), but rather (and simply) a short missive on the magic of elastic.

As for the hairbands -- I am forever using them, and losing them. I really don't know where they go, but I suspect they go to the same place that socks go when they suspiciously become missing from the dryer. Yes, somewhere out there in the universe there is a grand ball of socks and hairbands, laughing and prancing around and waiting for more company to join them. Although I cannot see them, I know they mock me.

The socks I could care less about - after all, their disappearance could plausibly be related to the fact that I stomp on them each time we're together. "Ha!," they say, "We'll teach you to kick us around!" - and off they go.

But the hairbands, that hurts. I keep them close to me at all times - in my pockets, around my wrist. I don't mistreat them like I do my socks - my hairbands are never left forgotten on the floor or buried at the bottom of the hamper with stinky workout gear. My question for the hairbands: Is there a better reward in life than to serve your purpose? To be surrounded by thick, luxurious locks of shiny curly strandlets of sweet-smelling soft goodness? To dance and be looped and be an integral part of a thing of beauty? No clip or barrette could compete with you, so stay with me, please.

I'm way better than those socks.
