I added 15 images into my favorites during the challenge, and I am adding my comments made during the challenge.
In no particular order:
Simonjw
This is magnificent!
The composition and overall tonality here is first-rate.
Hope this does well and adding to my favorites.
Nazgul
One of the most powerful images I have seen in this challenge.
The depth of field on this keeps the focal point strong.
Very well done and adding to my favorites!
jrtodd
Magnificent point of view and composition.
This is truely a superb black & white, and now a new favorite!
bod
This is superb!
The grainy look and the high-contrast post-processing took this to a different level.
One of my top picks and added as a favorite.
Gauti
Excellent composition and first-rate post-processing.
Beautiful shot and an instant favorite!
btuck
Oh this is outstanding!!!
This is what life is all about, and really hope this makes on your (or her parents) wall.
Adding to favorites.
shanelighter
Excellent, excellent, excellent!
This is so precious and so very well done.
Congrats on a superb photograph, and thank you for a new favorite.
naldslc
Spectacular black & white!
The perspective, composition and primary & secondary focal points are very well done and placed in this image.
The overall tones are wonderful and a great title to go with it.
Adding to my favorites and hope this does very well in this challenge!

Oh boy! This is magnificient!
The detil in the skin, along with the composition & destauration really work well here.
An instant favorite! Very, very well done.
chafer
Moments in life such as this are so important to capture.
This is an exceptional image in my opinion, partly due to the human element, but also greatly in part because of the textures and details in the stone and fixtures. I really hope the selective destauration here isn't getting this image voted down, as it is very well done, and has been added to my favorites.
goodman
Great use of leading lines and superb tones & detail.
Visually heart-warming and superb in composition.
One of the BEST black & white images I have seen in a very, very long time.
Firsty
Love the subdued and dark mood presented here.
The levels and details here are very nice, and the use of the tracks as leading lines that draw my eyes to the glow over the city, all add up to adding this to my favorites. I only hope I can produce work this nice some day.
Very well done!
kosmikkreeper
I love the perspective and intense scale presented here.
Still waters ahead, mirror imaging, what's not to like about this.
Adding to my favorites - well done!
Shermy
Very well done.
The retro-look here works well, and this has all the makings of a shot I could see in a magazine, or yet on the front of one.
The story here is well told in the composition and applaud you on the lighting!
Well done, and now added to my favorites.
Shecoya
We should all be so lucky to have this as one's bliss.
Is this soon to make it on a Post Card rack in a nearby town? If not, it should be.
Very well composed and shot, and a new favorite.
Congrats everyone, ribbons or not
In general, I think this best sums it up regarding the challenge:
* Each image was a surprise.
* Each was something meaningful to the artist.
* Each was a proud statement of their world.
* Each brought them joy and are willing to share them with us.
* Oh the joy each click brought to my monitor. |

There are others already Posted that I liked. But this just gave me a really strong feeling. Other than the Title this image is Simple Amazing.
Sadly I was only able to vote 40% (stupid army injury) and comented each one. I am going to be doing that from now on.. Voting as many as I can but commenting each one.

Really lots very good work in this challenge - lots of stuff that's a bit hidden or requires you to linger a bit. Something to do on rainy days - wander through this challenge and find the hidden gems! |
