My daughter bowling...I liked how the colors of the clothes she was wearing mimicked the setting of the bowling alley. I had to use a fast ISO and slow shutter speed to capture this without flash. Thus the noise, which I am sure will hurt me. I had a very nice macro of a frog which I thought of using but, my contrary nature won't let me. I like this better. I'm sure it will do badly.

POST VOTING...hee-hee... I just missed winning the brown with this. I knew it would not be popular. I'm tickled that a few people actually got what I saw in the photo. No, it wasn't taken on a cell phone but I did have to use the fastest speed which, on my camera, is very noisy. I still like it better than

ok, I'll admit that I wasn't really struck by this picture, but I did give it a 6, which is the same score I gave the blue and red ribbons. Like you said, the color matching is a nice element, and the strong geometry of a bowling alley makes for a good composition.

I didn't vote in this challenge, and you are right, the frog probably would have scored much higher, but I kinda like the quirkiness of this shot. Nirvana and bowling, who wudda guessed? :)

I am none to sure about this photo, there is nothing for me to really like about it, but I am drawn like a moth to a light. Nothing seems in focus and the shutter speed leaves everything in a blur but the colors are wonderful. Her skirt and the panels above the pins are what makes this. OK I love it...10

This needs some action. It's too static. And it's not sharp.

Hopefully after the ball was let go, it was!
Image-wise, this is not very clear and lacking a sharp focus.
I'm sure you have been getting this feedback already and apologize if it is redundant.

doesn't seem like much is focus.

A quirky, fun shot. Love the colors - how did she find an outfit to match the lanes? Love the shoes, too. I'd tell you to straighten it a bit, but I'm thinking that the slight angle actually works for this one.

This looks grainy and not quite in focus, sorry.

I'm thinking this shot would be 100 times better if the ball was there in motion, or even hitting the pins.

I would have been tempted to crop off the ceiling to give more focus to the bowler. Hope she got her strike!

I really like the matching outfit (to the decor) but the fuzzyness is distracting. BOL

SOME THOUGHTS:

-I like the funky colors
-Nice composition
-Good idea with the slight camera tilt
-Overall there is too much camera shake for me
-I would've cropped off the scieling
-Score: 5

Colors are nice but not an interesting shot.

in some odd way, I like this. The noise, the shake, the garish colors, all provide me with such a sense of place, a sense of being there, that I can hear the pins drop. Composed well. 8 - good luck in the challenge!
