Absolutely wonderful image. I love this. It reflects a lifestyle, and the girl is beautiful. Great job on the wood grain. Everything is just marvelous. 10

great textures, looks a bit dangerous for her which concerns me but beautiful focus and colors.
09/03/2006 05:25:56 PM
Very nice portrait of the girl with a great setting. Well done!

First one I open for review and. . . it is stunning! Simply stunning. The very best of luck. 10 here and it goes to the top of the list as one of my favorites. My only comment: slight tilt to the left. However, I also realize that the old building might just, indeed, be leaning.

has to be a 10...should hopefully be a ribbon contender...perfect in every way and I cannot find anything to say to improve this
09/02/2006 03:58:26 PM
Nice contrast between the fresh young girl and the broken-down setting!
09/02/2006 09:55:52 AM
So cute, love the surroundings and the sweet girl.
09/02/2006 02:07:52 AM
this picture is something right out of a horror film. this girl looks sweet and evil, not to mention the lack of inviting setting. the photo would hold up well as a production/film still and you would make an excellent on set photographer. very good.

Its a good portrait, but im not a fan of the grunge editing here.

Great composition and the overall levels and tones ceate a warmth & mood. about th eimage.
I know it is a style, but the overly-smooth skin needs texture in my opinion, as it becomes a bit out of place considering the details and textures in everyting else around.
Well done, and one I would be proud to call my own.

09/01/2006 09:39:09 AM
How sweet! This is a beautiful contrast of young and old, beauty and decay. 10 from me.

This is a lovely portrait. Love the tones and colors on this from the rustic browns of the old wood to the soft pastel pink of the girl's dress that brings the punch of color into the scene. I like the dichotomy of the old and new you present in this composition. The old and rustic (and falling apart) surroundings of the chair, porch, window, and iron gate juxtapositioned next to the little girl holding flowers which symbologically represents life anew. She is Spring to the rustic house's Autumn. My only critique on this portrait is that the girl's expression. She is looking directly at the photographer/viewer and projects the feel that she is not quite happy with her picture being taken. A much more candid or relaxed shot when she is not looking directly at the camera would have been better.

there is depth to this girls eyes
09/01/2006 08:19:45 AM
Nice picture, I love the lighting and the feeling it gives to the picture, well done.
09/01/2006 04:10:22 AM
you should have rotated this some degrees clockwise
09/01/2006 12:21:09 AM
Perfect. susi???
09/01/2006 12:19:56 AM
there is something so compelling about this shot. such an interesting face, and the tones here are just perfect. I could probably have done without the iron fence/gate, but it's not a major distraction. very nicely done.
