Maybe change "poorly done" to "overcooked" or "exaggerated"? After all, if the over-the-top effect is what the photographer had in mind, then it's well-enough done, isn't it? Just not your cup of tea?

R.

Overdone is a good word (although you have to admit there are some poorly done HDR images out there). And overdone is not always a bad thing, sometimes it's good. But I find with HDR overdone is usually a synonym for bad.

My tens:
Were I able to go all Spinal Tap and give 11 it would have been for this:

These were my tops:

This was supposed to be a ten, sadly during my final-tally-shuffle I mistakenly gave it an undeserved nine

A nine that I toyed with ten-ism:

And although not one to go overboard I did ninerfy this:

There were some amazing B&W shots. This one stands out to me.
There is a B&W street shots that I just can't seem to find right now of a bunch of people waiting for a bus. These were pretty great B&W's too.

I was blown away at how some of my more highly voted images finished in the 5's. Well some have a bit too much noise or something, but we did all know that this was covering all the years that we have had digital cameras right? They haven't all been noise free at ISO 1600...

Anyhow, I appreciated these shots which displayed noteworthy creativity or content and in many cases in spite of technical limitations that may have been there:

considering the placement of the other robber fly pic, this one stunned me

also surpassingly great:
[/url] and another lovely dog shot that I voted high in spite of a general dislike for dogs
