Question about:

EDITING RULES: No editing rules apply except that it be a completely original work made by you this month.

So what if I edit a photo that I took last year? The picture would be new but the original is not. Does that work in this ruleset?

The Posthumous Masters' Challenge Brown Ribbon DNMC is the ultimate accolade.

Question: the photo I want to enter is an outtake for a current challenge...can I just PM it to you, posthumous?

You should be able to post it here before the month is over, no?

In most cases, that would be against the rules. But you can, for example, use an old photo as part of a composite. The guideline here is that it be a "new work." If you are merely polishing an old work, that's no good. If you are somehow utilizing old work in order to create something completely new, or as new as anything ever is in this tired, ancient world, well then, that's just dandy.

It's the outtake for the backlight challenge...or a possible outtake anyways.

well... pm doesn't work because other people are commenting and judging too. Really, as long as you don't say it's an outtake, it's not an outtake. If it's recognizably similar to the one you entered in the challenge, then... tsk tsk!
