doh, am soooo far behind with both submitting and commenting again sorry. If the weather is ok tomorrow then it will be a full detail of the ickle BRCx, if its poor then I'll do plenty of commenting and add some shots of my Snowdonia trip last week (didn't manage to get a shot of the speed trap flashing me though)

Hope I'm learning? took some advice and did a straight dest with the Snow Leopard :)

I am so sorry I have not been posting, and only commenting on a few photos, but i believe I may be back now. My personal crisis has improved to the point that I will probably pick up the camera this weekend.

Hey, we have something over 550 posts in this thread so far and most have images. And there are some AMAZING images, I might add.

And we are only 25% of the way through the year!!

So, let's bring some of the cream to the top. B&W Hall of Fame Thread is the thread where we can post some of our favorite B&W images from this thread.

* Post up to five (5) of your favorites from the first quarter here. This will be tough, because there are SO many good images. I can easily find many more images that are amazing.

* DO NOT post your own images, post other people's images.

* Please make a comment in the thread about why you think it is a great shot.

B&W Hall of Fame Thread

So show us which images you think are the best from the first three months of this thread (even though it wasn't really three months, but that is another story).

Hi all, i'm kind of new here and would love to participate in this. Am I too late? Will I have to wait 9 months for another one? I think not but ya never know when you don't know. ;\

Does the entry for the week need to be taken during that week or can it be an older image?

Will I need to catch up?

I can't find any rules on side challenges except in their original threads so that's why I ask. I'm not up to par on what's allowed, tolerated and what not. Thanks.

Side challenges don't have really strict rules - it's preferred that you take the shot that week but certainly not required! No need to catch up. If you are going to participate by posting shots, you are highly encouraged to participate by commenting on the shots of others. So jump on in - the water is fine.

I'm not a monitor of the thread and just my opinion but don't feel the need to post things just to keep up. It's not about that. Post if you have something to offer because if we start to post out of obligation the thread will start to suck and water down the quality of images. Personally if I have nothing new or an image that I think isn't worth something, I'll gladly pass on the week. Again, just an opinion.

I was going to add to my earlier post that I wasn't going to flood the thread with old pics. I agree with you and thanks for saying it. I did feel some sort of need to catch up for some reason.

Hmm reading the last couple of posts and maybe not feeling as guilty for disappearing for a bit. :) I just saw the Hall of Fame thread and saw SherwinJames mentioned one of mine (thanks!) and thought now was a good time to get back in. Here are two:
