Okay, it's officially January now so I can post my first one. (It was already January here when I did it though it was still December in DPC time.

Any suggestions for a title will be welcome.

The last of the ones from yesterday evening's marathon, LOL:

I think I'm going to try uploading a few at a larger size... the 800px size just crushes detail in many of them. Gotta see how much space they will hog though.

Wow, Kirbic, you really got into it!
And now, I'm going to try to follow y ou...Ha.

Well, someone had to do it, so I added Fractalius to the mix. I reduced the dpi to 72 though, as the program would have tied up my computer for the rest of the day if it was full size.

Well, I decided to flip Penny again, but with a twist. I cloned her head 4x in one image to may a 4-up, square image, then i did the flip and blend thing except I used 45-degree rotation instead, and I came up with this:

The original headshot's linked in the comments.

Bear, you mentioned in a comment on one of my shots that you can remove the horizontal line by pasting the image into a new file. Could you explain the process more? (I'm posting it here rather than directly asking you, because I figure everyone might find your response useful).

Now this one blew me away.

The centre and part of the spokes were selected in LR and exposure increased by 4 stops. This area was almost black when first looked at coming out of PS.

1. Copy the whole final layer to clipboard.

2. File>new will open a new, empty file with same image size as what's on clipboard

3. Paste the copy to the new image file

4. Use the rectangular marquee to select the top half of the image down to but not including the dark line

5. cntrl-x will cut the selection but keep it on clipboard

6. cntrl-v will paste the selection on top of the previous layer

7. use the 4-way arrow tool to move the selection so it overlaps correctly, covering the dark line on the underneath layer

8. use the crop tool to crop away the excess on the op from moving it.

And some think side challenges take away from DPC, this technique, and these results are fantastic..

The talk of yellow submarines and checkered taxis reminded me of an old school bus in a salvage yard.

These next two are my favourites so far.

The more the merrier.

Another one from the old bus:

and one from another image of the salvage yard.
