I know we are nearly at the end of this month, with 6 days to go, and love to share this story with you all.
I never realized just how hard it is to stay with one subject, especially roses.
I have pushed this to the limit, and it has been a great learning curve.
One day last week, after letting my red roses hang upside down to dry out, I could not find them, and wondered where they were.
I asked Peter and he said, "I thought they were dead", so I put them in the rubbish bin.
I was mortified, and though I lost them all. I looked in the rubbish bin, and thanks goodness they were just lying on top of the newspapers. I had put a rubber band on them, to keep them all together.
I quickly took them out, and hung them up side down again to finish drying out. I also collected the loose dried petals, as I am saving them for potpourri.
I nearly was not able to complete this series of rose images, if I had not rescued them from the rubbish. Thank goodness Peter had only just put them in there, and on top of the clean newspapers.

Not to rain on your parade, but it might been cool to see them covered in coffee grounds, spaghetti noodles and cigarette butts! :) |
