Day 25 -  My baby doves are growing up so fast.....
Having very special visitors, and being so busy enjoying there company, and doing the tourist bit with them, I was unable to process and upload any images to my portfolio.
I am so far behind but will catch up by the end of today.....

thanks for all the comments on my dogs,cats and the baby guineas. 4 of the dogs live with me, the kelly is my sons dog and lives with him in his cottage on the property.
The baby guineas are wild and live with the wild flock on theproperty there are plus minus 20 babies and about 10 adults. |

Since Roz and Shez are back, here are a couple of flower shots from one of the places where I work some days. There is a very nice garden there, thought some of the most cold sensitive plants got a bit frosted with the recent cold spell. The photo of the hawk from yesterday was shot nearby.

I went shooting at the State Capitol yesterday to try and get an architecture entry......wasn't happy with the results enough to enter one of these, but I like them and thought you guys might.

Been really busy but got some time to process some pics :) hope to get the rest done by the end of the week :)
Day 21: A place I like to go to think and relax

Day 24: Canadian air force making a fly by

Day 26: Lotsa snow and fricken cold

I took a quick walk over the fields behind the house this afternoon in the fading light. After a grey start and a bright morning, it got all grey again and finally, suddenly cleared. A day of changes, certainly.

Wow, this will be a mega-catch-up ;) Finally getting the pics out of the camera, due to the fact that I'm not at work today!
Day 19:
My friendly little smile-slime, that hangs off my camera bag.
Day 20:
Devastation at Brighton! Well, not that dramatic really... just a ship losing its cargo off-shore. There were a few scavengers, and plenty of cops to stop it lol
Life was too full on the next couple of days, so you get not 1, but 3 photos!
Day 21:

Day 23:
We had a smokin' hot band at the pub that night, and I managed to get a few shots. Had fun processing them!
Day 24:
They went past midnight, so technically this is from the 24th ;)
Day 25:
Preparation for an Australia Day in the UK! We had a ball covering the pub with green/yellow streamers, corny Aussie street signs, and a bunch of helium inflated balloons.
Day 26:
And even a strange looking blow-up kangaroo...
Day 27:
The next day we headed back to Brighton for their tattoo convention... great fun checking out all the stalls, and watching the ridiculous amount of tattoos being done for all to see. It was brilliant being able to see all their work, and a decent amount of cards found their way into my pocket.
Again, no interesting photos came out of the very busy next couple of days, so I've added some more from the Sunday :)

This is actually where I live. It's hard to get a photo of my building and apartment - well I could go on the mountain and shoot from there, I suppose... but I'm not going to. ha. |

Hi. This is my ugly mug. I just got my new photoflex softbox and took some pictures of myself tonight cause wifey wasn't up for it (something about not having her face on... =) Anyways. I know its not perfect, but would like an honest critique on lighting and what have you... Thanks guys, sorry its not "where I live" but I figured myself is also where i live...

Ok I just went and took some stills! This softbox is great!

Cheating - actually did do some shooting on the 29th, but the best from that is currently tanking in the Architecture challenge - so anyhoo, here are a couple of shots from my portfolio. (Still working on comments, btw. Sorry to have dropped behind.)
Day "27" - Summer Sunset
(It was -2 degrees F without the wind chill when I walked out my door this morning. On the day this was shot, the temp was in the upper 80s/lower 90s, and I distinctly remember complaining about the humidity. If I'd only known how good I had it.)
Day "28" - Navy Pier
One of my earliest photographs of Chicago. Taken on a school scouting trip in 2003.
