 Our Newspaper building and a dentist is in there too. It looks frozen and abandoned! This is the beauty of downtown Twisp. (sarcasm) I think this is ugly!! The beauty of this tight community are the people and mountains. Lots of artists, musicians, sports people and nature lovers live here.

LoL, about the car under the no parking sign!! Someone mentioned a car being under the snow berm, but there is no car parked there,just snow.


Twisp is a Native American word for Buzz of the Wing....or Yellow Jacket which is another endearing thing about Twisp, we have millions of wasps in the summer months.

I can't even begin to conceive of anywhere having that much snow. In England if we get more than 2 inches the country grinds to a standstill!

Looks like where I grew up except the icicles are more like where I lived in NY. Beautiful winter colors.

Wow - sounds like a real paradise - lol! I can't believe those icicles - they are HUGE. And that pile of snow is HUGE. Dang. I like the Native American meaning of Twisp - Buzz of the Wing - but not the wasp thing so much.

Hmmmm. Winter-rural-urban shot? I really like the pole and wires with that square brick building and bright blue sky. I'd come back and shoot it when that big shadow in the lower right is gone. 8)

Thanks for the info tidbit. I would have never known about Twisp otherwise.
That's a car? That place looks way too cold for me. I have looked at this shot 3 times now, and still don't know what else to say about it.
