 This is the steeple of the First Christian Church in Phoenix, which was built by our own Frank Lloyd Wright.

Ol Frank was pretty busy in this area and there are a lot of his buildings around. But in keeping with his organic designs, they are not hugely visible.

This church is an exception. It was built after his death and is quite striking - standing on 7th Avenue. I've used the Belltower in two of my challenge entries.

I was shooting for Architecture and of course thought of this church - this time I focused on the spire, which looks different from different angles. Same with the Belltower, by the way.

I used a high-key effect by using extreme amounts of layers. Then I added a bit of cyan. Since I wasn't using it in a challenge, I treated the photo with a bit of Lucis exposure and then Perfectum for smoothing.

Nice image for a number of good reasons.
He was quite a visionary. I would guess that it was quite a challenge to find people who could build his designs to spec.

Excellent processing-Frank Loyd Wright built his home in our neighboring state, New Hampshire...I have only seen pictures of it. He was THE most talented architect ever !!!

That's a very nice shot! I like the processing. I love FLW - visited Taleisin West when I was out in Arizona a few years ago. Very interesting place.
