Was checking out my entries, and thought... sheeeesh!!
Spent 3 hours with the bottle in my left hand, the glass in my right hand, the remote controller between my teeth, the camera in between.
Obvious..
Acrylic paint on my face.. not good.
7-8 hours of trial and error
Shot under the cold shower, brrrr

You know I tried the remote in my mouth thing once but could never actually press it. I ended up using the timer. |

"Killed" all the fruits and spent a whole bottle of gold paint spray
Paint my face in really thick blue paint.. It took me DAYS to wash it off...
Broke some of my nephew toys :P
two hours choosing the peas and "drowing" the dove with them...
My dog stop liking me since that shot...
If my grandma knows that picture is online, I am a death woman...
Pretty self explanatory
Painted my face in white... A few days in Post processing..
"killed" 3 peppers and an apple for this shot... It took me hours to get the painting like that...

Almost flooded the garage
Flew to Australia
Learned how to sprout beans, sprouted half a dozen varieties, built a light stage

froze fingers off ... threw gloves ... picked-up gloves ... threw gloves ... picked up gloves ... timer ... beeep beeep click "DAMN!" ... repeat!
Can be described in 17 paragraphs or fewer ... "honey, are you still playing with the smoke machine? ... it stinks"
"Ohhh, a lady is feeding a bunch of birds ... I can do that ... I have Ramen noodles in the trunk somewhere .... here birdy birdy" ... switch lenses, get pooped on ... "whew, at least it wasn't on the lens". |

I'm embarrassed to say I'm not creative, nor do I do go to any lengths for a challenge. :(
I did buy 2 bananas once:
And did drive all around for a sacrificial animal once:
(still have the parts as they became kitty toys)
Everything else is pretty much what I find in my travels, and is accurately reflected in my average score of 5.8568 in 181 challenges. I'm just a point & shoot kinda' guy. Click!

I originally wanted to do this wearing surgical gloves but I don't own any. So, I went around to all the pharmacies in the area asking for a single pair of surgical gloves... I never did find any but I sure got a few looks as to what I was going to do with those gloves... *sigh* |

FWIW, you can buy them at most supermarkets for about $5 for 100
Though they aren't called 'surgical' gloves, just latex gloves.
I'm sure they aren't sterile, but they'd look the part.

I'm kinda like Brad, I don't do much setup for a shot (usually those I spend the most time on score the worst). But here's what I have done:
filled the tub
put a CD in the microwave (found out later this could ruin the microwave)
dragged all the furniture out of my living room, putting a nice long scratch in the hardwood floor in the process
self explanatory (god I hate this shot)
chewed on a pencil
mocked Christianity (not really!!)

Don't buy Playtex disposable latex gloves. I bought a box of those once and it leaves a powdery substance on everything. The kind I bought once before didn't do that. |

I'm sure there will be challenges where you may use a pair or two... |

two words...water balloons. Of course latex doesn't make for good balloons but that is all I could think of at the moment. I'm sure any dental office would have given you just one pair of gloves if you asked, again you may not get the surgical sterile ones but they don't use those for giving injections anyway...heck you're lucky if they wear gloves at all since they aren't really contacting you internally...just the needle has to be sterile.
In answer to the op...this weekend I walked for over 3 hours and took over 200 pictures looking for the perfect street photography shot and in the end I narrowed it down to 4 and of course the one I chose is bombing. :(

Typically sold in boxes of 100, great for auto maintenance (I've been wearing them in the auto repair business for 20+ years), but can also be used by aspiring Proctologists. :D

5 days? oh girl, I was lucky to have short hair ;)
the paint got off very fast. when it's dry, you can almost literally tear it off your face. |

For me a challenge photo usually involves the following
1. Drive to beach
2. Put camera on tripod
3. Open shutter for 30 seconds
4. Drive home
One of the only times I've done anything different is for the seed challenge. And all that involved was buying a 60c bit of cardboard from the newsagents and waiting for the strawberries to start to go off..
