Single shot, taken in a dark room with shutter on bulb. Black velvet cloth near the camera covering the bottom half of the frame. Flash once, rotate camera, flash again. Repeat many times until both shots are lined up properly.

Post processing:

-- Slight rotate and crop
-- NeatImage
-- Clone out fishing line
-- Select the background, average filter.
-- Gradient tool, overlay mode to do some vignetting.
-- Curves layer to make background more blue
-- Curves layer, soft light mode, 25% opacity
-- Resize, sharpen, save for web
