ditto.

Day 31
03/03/2007 04:10:52 PM · #1327
Sorry was not by a computer to upload my final picture yesterday. So here is Day 30.

This has been a blast I think we shoud do it again in the summer time so that I can take some pictures of some of my favorite places where I live that I can not get to in the winter.
Thank you, every one for your great comments

Day 30

only a day late. thanks from me too for suggesting this, it has been really interesting seeing where everyone else lives. i'll try to post some more comments - i only made it to day 5 with the commenting. gawd, i suck. guess i'm the right team, eh?

yes, lets do it in the northern hemisphere's summer too - i'd love to show some greenery. mind you, everything i do in photography is where i live anyway...

I would just like to thank one and all for the best and most exciting project I've participated in since being at DPC.

Might I suggest that everyone pick *THEIR* favorite shot from their offerings for one last hurrah?

This one was my fave for a number of reasons, mostly because I like night shots in the first place, the reflection is awesome, and I'm quite proud of how pretty our Pennsylvania Capitol City really is.

Thanks as well for all the wonderful comments you made.....I'm glad you like where I live, and I know so much more about who and where you all are now, too!

I miss you guys!!

NikonJeb's idea is great! Here's my favorite photo for the challenge. I have to say, if I were to take it today, I would process it differently because of what I've learned in the past month here, through your wonderful comments and my own experimentations. Thanks again, all.

Just 2 days and i am missing this already. here is my favorite shot of the past 30 days. I love old barns and the late evening sunlite made this one especialy nice to me. I had this one printed on canvas and i really like how it turned out. I liked it well enough to enter it in our local camera club contest this month (something i had never done).

hope we can keep this thread going.

Nice idea, Jed; I've really enjoyed this myself. I wish I had more time to comment, but I'm starting to go back and do that now, so everyone, please keep checking your comments (even for early shots, I hope to comment on a bunch that I missed out on, especially if you've been actively commenting throughout).

Anyway, here's my favorite from my shots:

I should have entered it in the "low key" challenge; my entry there is doing, well, poorly (or, in terms often used on DPC, sucky), and this one would have been much better. Anyway, live and learn!

I have enjoyed this; should we think again about a PAW where you live?

I actually like several of my shots, but I chose this one as my favorite. I think the sky swayed me.

I am aleady doing this in my PAW blog (the official theme is southwest Missouri, but so far all my shots have been within 30 minutes of my house.) I would love to see shots from everyone who participated, so here's another yes vote!

This is my fav of my photos.

Can't tell you how much I have enjoyed doing this challenge, I find myself constantly looking at ways I could make everyday scenery into a good photo, and checking out the light. You are all such a great gang of people and hopefully we can do this again real soon!!!

Roz,
PAW stands for Photo a Week. There are several DPC'ers doing one this year, and everybody was supposed to pick a theme.
03/04/2007 05:42:28 PM · #1342
rob just pm'd me and told me wot PAW means ... PHOTO A WEEK!! .. dohhhhh ...
excellent idea and i'd be in for sure ... so lets start a new thread and call it Photo A Week ... couldnt call it PAW coz some idiots may not know wot it means!! ...

I guess I would have to go with this one as my favorite of my 30 photos.
I like it because it was an unexpected find. I had no idea that mirror was there until I saw it while walking up Main Street. I took several shots but I think this one best captured what I was going for. Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments.
03/04/2007 07:17:41 PM · #1346

This happened last night while waiting for the eclipse.
As my motto says: My favorite picture is always the next one!
I can't see how we could pick a fav from each of us to post, as there are about 25 or 30 of us it seems, and at 30 images each that would be a lot of searching thru the thread, and a lot of posting. Also, I don't see how I could pick a fav, as I like a lot of different ones for different reasons. So far I have not seen any pics here that I didn't enjoy seeing, although I didn't have time to comment on all of them.

I would be very happy to be in the PAW challenge to sort of keep all of our little group connected.

Roz, I hope that you got a few good lightning images. We get our storms in June thru Oct here.

If someone wants to start the "Where U Live PAW", let's do it, or as the locals around LaBelle say, "Get 'er Done!"

I think that this was the one which I posted that I liked best, although it didn't get as many comments as the one with the tractor that xxRozxx liked.
03/04/2007 07:17:46 PM · #1347

I guess this would have to be my favorite. It really seems to capture his personality, and the fact it came out so well using an old mirror lens just makes it better to me.
03/04/2007 07:18:12 PM · #1348
Well...I didn't get the whole 30 days finished, but almost made it! I really, really enjoyed this so much. Especially with being fairly new to DPC, I felt I got to know a few people. It was all so interesting seeing all the beautiful photos from all over the world. Thank you all for the wonderful comments.

I guess this would be my favorite of the ones I entered.

I have 2 favorite shots from this 30 day challenge. I have to say I have had a blast with this challenge. I was in a real slump with my camera, not picking it up for days on end because the paying jobs took the fun out of taking pictures. I haven't accepted any jobs for weeks now and this challenge made me realize I do NOT want to spoil my favorite hobby by turning it into a JOB!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say how much fun this has been and I also want to apologize for not finishing the last 3 days. My allergies have been bothering me and I have been dealing with nasty sinus headaches.

I have enjoyed everyone pictures and I hope we can do this again in the future!
