This was shot from inside a train at about 8:00pm, in London's Liverpool Street Station after my day in London doing research. There was something about the fact that we were inside the station (roof over our heads, etc.), but looking across the tracks it looked like we were outside.

I didn't do too much with the shot; tweaking, really, and some attempt at noise removal (shot again at ISO 1600, hand held pressed against the window with a slow shutter).

Considering light conditions you did a great job. The reflections of the window, specially on the right, add to an interesting look.

Love it. It has both a stoic solidness and a vibrancy to it. Very intriguing!

That's just too cool. I really like the spikes of light from the right, which look as if they are coming in thru the windows, and lighting up dust in the air.
You should have entered this one in the "Low Key" challenge. Very gothic looking place.

Oh my!!! This is just awesome!!! You almost ought to throw it into the Free Study just so more people could see this stellar shot!!!! The small technical details that are wrong with it are soooooooooo outstripped by the incredible atmosphere conveyd in this image. Really something!!!!

Neat lighting. I think you should take one day to show us some of what is near your home--maybe the view out a couple of windows or doors. (Make them extras if you don't want them to be your main shot.)

great result rob ... i love the sort of gloomy, eerie, just about forbidding feeling i get from this .. i'm expecting dracula or some of his minions to emerge from behind the darkened window with the bars ...i really like the colouring and the reflections on the window that sort of create an interesting framing for the shot and the way the light is concentrated in the centre of the image .. excellent ..

This is really nice. The dark tones, reflections, speed blur(?)and filled arches add up to a very interesting and artful photo.

I love it! The archways with the lattice type work in them look almost church like, love the detailing in the brickwork. Nice one!!
