This brings me to a dare... LOL!
I double dog dare each one of you to comment on all 240 images in this challenge.
I plan to do it.
Really... this is the "most artistic" of each 240 people's entire year of photos.
I think I can find something to say about each image.
They DID work an entire year and my comment takes... uhh.... 20 seconds... if I don't want to linger...

Anyone else? |
Pathetic compared to Lydia's current tally but I'm getting there...
You have commented on 10 images (4%) in this challenge. |

Good, Techo!
I want to reiterate... you don't have to vote... just comment. On. Every. Image.
It's their entire year! Can you give a comment?

Oh yes. I'm just commenting on this one. Not voting. I also note that I'm not voting so for those that track every one vote won't get confused by my great comment on their shot that happens to coincide with a very low vote. It's not me! ;) |

I'm sure your effort is mighty appreciated.
But a dare huh ;)
I'm really rusty and bit of a lingerer. Takes me a minimum of 2min per image. That's at least 8hours to comment on all. I'd take any comment vs none. So bring them on. Anything from just "I like it!" to "eh, doesn't do much for me". |

Ok your on...I've been side lined this week do to a medical issue. I'll give it a try. I've done it in the past. Just not a big commenter. Love it or hate it your choice.....Lol.
edit; I've already voted. I bump my votes towards the end. My comment will not be tied to a vote at the time of the comment.

Anyone who knows me yet, knows I've been commenting on every image in these challenges for the last several weeks. This will be a challenge... but it's one I'm up for. :)
Gonna finish up those urban comments later today... then on to the Art comments. :)
I've actually started to learn some things as I've been doing this. :)
Like, for one, I NEED to expand my vocabulary... lol. There, I said it, before anyone beats me to it. :P

Well, the two comments you left on mine were quite a bit more than "nice shot". However, I did get the impression on my abstract macro that you were struggling to leave a genuine comment without saying you didn't care for it much.

5.1 and sinking with every vote. I love my shot though. Does anyone have any comments from members of the jury? |

I liked it, couldn't tell what it was. looked like a painting you'd see hanging in an art gallery. look... didn't have a problem with words there. lol. must have been having mental lapses at that particular time. lol |

OIC. Makes sense. I left some post challenge notes describing what it is.

I get the impression that people are possibly trying too hard to find major 'deeper meaning' in my shot when there wasn't really any intended (I don't believe every photograph has to have a deep-rooted significance, some shots are just meant to look nice.) I think that's where my shot is failing.

I've voted 100%. Part of what I do is, eh hum, picture framing. I have seen (and framed) an awful lot of stuff. Good stuff. Weird stuff. Gorgeous stuff, ugly stuff. You get the picture (pun intended). My vote for this 'Art' challenge is firstly based on 'would I hang this on my wall?', followed by other arbitrary decisions and then on technicals (the little I know of them). That's just what I've done for this challenge. Thought I'd share.

Still zero comments. I regret changing the title in the last minute as the voters cannot see the significance in my image. I also regret not going for a more abstract image as I suspect that's what a lot of voters see as artistic. |

I'm slowly working my way through these images:
You have rated 79 of 241 images (33%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 27 of 241 images (11%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.5949.
Although I live in great fear of LydiaToo, I don't think my negative time space will allow me to comment on ALL the images. But, will do so on as many as I can.
Good Luck Everyone!

I voted very much along the same lines. "Would this look good in a gallery/house/coffee shop/etc hanging on a wall", i even left a comment on one persons image saying that against the "dismal grey" background of the site it looked washed out, but against a more vivid colour it could have a nice contrast and that i wish we could play with our backgrounds more to change it based on the image we're seeing, especially in a challenge like this.
"would it look good on a grey wall? nope" "would it look good on an electric blue wall? yes" - i actually went into ms paint at work and did that - cropped out the image and put it against backdrops of different colours to see how it would look, then i scored it based on it's artistic merits, not just that it looked faded against a grey background. I quite liked the shot actually and it does look very nice with other backdrops! :) |

I see people posting about how they regret entering or doing something different with their entry. Really?
It's your art, an expression of yourself at a moment in time. That's not really something to regret. |
