Please rephrase this - I am actually wanting to try and understand what you're saying about B+W pics. Did you hate them just because they were B+W along with flowers and birds or are you saying something else which I am not getting?

If that statement is anything like what I prefer in B&W photos, then I think it means that a good range of tones should be in the shot. Pure black and pure white should be included somewhere, instead of an image that just looks like there are only shades of grey.
I could be completely misinterpreting, though :-)

Be carefull, you may do more harm than good, as you may cause the scores, to be taken away, if all the same.....

The DNMC is a throwback to sunday when someone went through all the images and gave them a 1 and a DNMC comments. I believe he/she is going back through them now and changing the scores. Bet its not so funny now is it!! |

Wont be voting this round, my 13yo son used up my 12 gig of broard band usage in 20 days, arghhh! I'm at dial up speeds A_n_d E_v_e_r_y_t_h_i_n_g I_s S_o S_l_o_w N_o_w! ! !

Can somebody tell me the reason for a phenomenon I've noticed several times - the first day of voting my photo gets a lousy voting, but picks up speed after that, usually ending about a 1.5 higher than the inital average vote.
Anyone? |

Isnt it obvious?
The super keen people in the competition who take it all far too seriously rush to vote and to see the competition, then end up comparing everything else to their own and give low votes.
Then more rational peole arrive.
Then the last to vote are the most objective and vote most sensibly. These people often havent entered the said comp.
