I was so hopefull for this one too. I was gone all weekend and got disowned by my family and came home to this. I'm so depressed. Oh well maybe next month.

Well I'm TRYING to vote on all of these but my god there are a LOT! and there is such a variation- not just between "good" and "bad"... but how do you score a studio portrait shot and an abstract "artsy" shot on the same scale???
I'll be honest- my scoring is subjective... I'm trying though. :)

So, is everyone else still scoring exceptionally low as well? I mean, I was down to 3.xxxx during the prank, but honestly, this photo that is going right now should be about a 6.5xxx, or close to it. That is just what I would say based on past experience. Of the comments, two say your typical "Oh, that is lovely", which is nice to get, and one is still the "DNMC 1". Whatever happened to people saying stuff like "Oh, nice photo. I like the composotion and colors, but it appears oversharpened" or "the highlights lose detail" or something along those lines, explaining why it is not getting a higher vote? |

I still have that stupid DNMC 1 as my only comment. I'm trying to leave comments on everyone, but it's so many this time. I understand why not everyone is getting one, but with 102 views and only 1 comment?

I really think people got pissed at their score early on and tanked all the images they viewed, doubt if anyone goes back and changes the votes. I won't be entering a FS for March next year......

I expected it to be in the 6.x range, not struggling to get above 5. And even if my ego is too big I know it should be at least mid 5's by any estimation. (Based on the fact that my average is 5.16 and this is better than my average picture)

Well, I too, am disappointed with my score right now as well. I had hoped for better, but I'm not surprised in a FS challenge. Especially one of this magnitude of entries.
I'm glad I don't have to go back over all 565 entries and re-score. Mind you, I still have to score them!!! Haven't had a chance to do that yet! Was waiting till the dust settled from the weekend! :0) |
