whiffby PennyStreetComment: This image was a favorite in the challenge for me. I love the juxtaposition of fashion and urban decay. |

Fertile Fieldsby glad2badadComment: Gorgeous. Definitely in the upper third of the crowd for me. Not a critique, but I do wonder if the emotional register might be just a little more ethereal with a shorter vertical crop to lose a bit more of the foreground path. |

My happy placeby MaggyeComment: This really works for me. I'm not a hard sell on painterly treatments of subjects like these. But I do find myself a bit distracted by the fragments of foliage on the upper left and lower right portions of the frame. The clouds and water would feel a bit more balanced (to my eye) with those cloned out. But otherwise, the emotional impact is superior. |

Flower Power by colorcarnivalComment: I can't decide if the radio tower in the background enhances or disrupts this composition. It's almost necessary, I think, to give some pause over the otherwise perfect array of all those sunflowers at JUST the right time that not even one of them looks pathetic. That's a rare find! Beautiful processing, though. This is my top pick in the challenge. |

One More Chapter... Probably by VitaminBComment: That's quite a setup for this shot! The title of what she's reading makes the thematic connection to the challenge compelling for me. |

Imperfectionsby mariucaComment: Visually, this is such an arresting piece. It feels to me like the cover image of a vinyl record by some indie crossover artist. |

middleby PennyStreetComment: I'm a big fan of this composition. Architectural abstracts that combine verticals and diagonals really appeal to me. Nice seeing! |
