 My kid was very patient in modelling for me... either that, or she was lost in the plot, and had no idea I was taking the photo.

glad2badad, it took a while to stack the books, and was even more frustrating when I realized I wanted to switch to my zoom lens, and needed to restack the books to get within the minimum focus distance for the lens. My kid was a big help.

Kanaj, thanks for pointing out the link to the title "Good Girls Guide to Murder". My daughter chose it as the book she wanted to be holding in the shot, but I didnt make the connection to the challenge title until your comment.

Congrats - that's a beautiful idea, love the setup.
I wish the light was a little more "vivid" - looks a bit flat to me, but that is a minor nitpick.

Of all the books surrounding your daughter (who reminds me tremendously of my own daughter 15 years ago) two in particular caught my eye:
"The book thief" right behind her head - a book which I loved reading and above all, at the bottom right corner: "Geek Dad" - maybe a hint too ??? ;-)
