 Not intending to shoot photos but when the light went crazy I threw away my fly fishing rod and took out my drone. Flying through a gentle rain was a challenge. There were raindrops on the drone lens but I figured if a flew sideways a bit the drops would slide off by the wind to the side.
The nearby Landmannalaugar area gets all the drone flyers attention but these remote fishing lakes rarely see a tourist without a fishing rod.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Just to clarify the white lines around the lake edges are not sharpening artifacts but foam caused by the wind.

Gorgeous. Is everyone in Iceland? Love the shapes of the bodies of water, they balance well. And the stream and double rainbow are chef's kiss.

I don't know if any fisherman would dare to break the stillness of this place and not just stare mesmerized past the horizon where only gilded clouds and rainbows seem to appear or disappear at will
PS. a touch of less sharpening would benefit the geometry of the lake's edges

Standout entry. A little dodge and burn to give more contrast would have made this a 10.
