i initially thought small metal discs, but now i'm not so sure. maybe the bottom of a meat tenderizer? no that wouldn't leave scratches...not sure.

I once had a furnace filter that looked a lot like this, only much more dust. Blue goes well with white here.

It looks to me like a stack of fishing line and a metal object on top. I'll be interested to see what the metal object is. It would have looked much better to me had the whole photo been sharper.

This is neat. It's metal, I think the white lines are caused by something scraping over it. Or it could be holes and there is angel hair behind it.
