I cannot believe I didn't comment on this spectacular shot! I gave it a 10 - and I thought I always commented on my highest rated images (and tried to comment on all). Simply superb. Adding to my faves. You always amaze me Roz.

Edit: Well, it's already in my Faves! hahaha I guess I can spot perfection when I see it! ;-)

Wow Roz. HUGE congrats on the Eureka prize. Many on DPC won't realise just how big a deal a Eureka prize (of any category) is. Well done. As always, I am in awe of your work with little critters.

Wow! Congratulations on that win, Roz! I'm totally thrilled for you. Blue ribbons are one thing, but a $5000 prize sure trounces them.

CONGRATS ON THE WIN ROZ!!!!!

They say a photo is worth 1000 words, well, that's probably true, but we can now prove this photo is worth $5,000!

Roz, congratulations on your Eureka finalist and wish you good luck for the next stage. Your macro photos are amazing and this photo present the best timing of capturing the momentary life/death of tiny insects. We all observe the world but your observation is so sharp that you captured those events usually ignored by us. You deserve the top honor, congratulations!

Roz, congratulations on an amazing picture and a unbelievable score. These flies are a headache to photograph because they are always on the move and tend to jump when the flash goes off. Your pics continue to motivate me to get out there with my macro. Unfortunately I was traveling to the US on this challenge and couldn't get out to get a picture. All the best!

Well, dear Roz - I would have eaten my hat if you had not won this challenge. Needless to say, I did not vote on it. You can imagine how I would have fared looking at an entire bug challenge. But you manage to photograph vermin in the most aesthetic way - beautiful, really.

Enormous congrats on not only your Blue, but an 8+ score!!!!!!!! That's huge! I'm proud of you and happy for you! OXOX
