Love the reflections on the drop. Fantastic work on getting that perfect drop ......... having spent many hours trying, I know it's not easy.

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1113 images, I gave 90 of them an 8. Your image was one of those 90, placing you well within the top 10% for this challenge.

Lots of water droplet pictues in every challenge it seems these days, hated by some, loved by others. Sometimes with the abundance of such shots it's hard to remember how difficult perfectly executed water drops are. This has an added dimension of the background reflected through the droplet, which I can only imagine to be much more difficult to achieve. Personally, I would have rated it a point higher if the image was fully desaturated, as I find the odd hints of colout here and there to be a distraction rather than adding anything to the image. Nonetheless, a nice shot.

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Awesome capture and presentation. Gorgeous. But in the end, it is yet another example of a tired genre. Sorry.

Been done so many times and yet there is something about this water drop that really makes it seem like it is a new concept.

03/14/2009 07:55:26 AM
It is an amazing picture that must have taken an incredible amount of time, patience and undoubted skill. I would like to read a 'how I did it' after the challenge. I'm not that keen on the title though.
03/14/2009 07:49:02 AM
As a splash aficionado, I can say with some feeling that this is a stunning image, movement frozen and so much in focus - a considerable challenge - my compliments.
03/14/2009 07:20:29 AM

03/13/2009 08:17:57 PM
Nice timing. The swirling pattern adds interest
03/13/2009 04:02:06 PM
Long live the waterdrop! I think the pattern on the flat(ish) water is the most intriguing part of this image for me.
03/13/2009 01:30:24 PM
Looks like a Ralph image, if it's not that is still a real compliment. Beautiful. 9.
03/13/2009 12:08:31 PM

03/11/2009 10:17:33 PM
Nice reflections on the past and future.
03/11/2009 08:47:21 PM
Fabulously clear, great reflections. That one red dot on the water stem looks a bit like a dead pixel which is a wee bit annoying but otherwise, the shot is excellent!
03/11/2009 08:32:36 PM
how is that even possible to do??
03/11/2009 07:28:30 PM
exelent done just like IreneM

WOW an amazing shot for an amazing challenge. You should be proud of this one, I hope it ribbons for you.
03/11/2009 09:38:20 AM
Cleverly done, 10/10. Makes my droplet photos look very average - is it upside down (looking from under the water?), anyway I'd love to know how you did this.
03/11/2009 08:29:51 AM
Psychedelic!
03/11/2009 04:02:18 AM
Love the way the background works into this one
03/11/2009 01:25:41 AM
How many shots did it take before you perfected it?
03/11/2009 12:48:28 AM
I never get tired of these. :)
03/11/2009 12:30:47 AM
