Thanks for the ribbon and especially all your kind words.

This is "upper Niskayuna falls" for lack of an official or better name. It's a two tiered falls -- the only major one in Niskayuna (my town) that I know about. Just about 10 feet behind where I am standing (in the water) with the camera, this water goes down a 50+ foot falls. Unfortunately, the bigger falls is really hard to photograph given all the trees, and lack of a good place to stand to see it. So I make due with the upper falls.

The falls empties into the mohawk river, just upstream of where I shot this: .

I used a GND and a ND filter in a Cokin holder to increase exposure times.

Beautiful, Neil! Congratulations!
Looks like swirling was very rapid if you got this blur with only 1.6 exposure time (is it 1.6s or 1/1.6s?)

Very pretty shot, and I am also surprised that the look of buzz filter and poster edges (or similar filters) were received well. Congrats on third place ribbon.

Very well deserved ribbon. Nice sharp focus, and great depth of field. I really enjoy how you used the long shutter time to capture the motion in the pool. The lighting in this image is great. This belongs in a gallery.
