I could choose and eassier photography, but I thought this one was different.
I just like the mixt within the beauty of the city building and the light and the nasty of the smoke and the fog.
I just think is expresive, different than any other picture of Barceleona I've done i the past, and I've done a lot.
Just tell me what do you think about it.

I enjoy the lower part of the photo, your observation of the light is very good.

Hey. looking at your portfolio, you have some great potential. Your Free study entry would have done better if it was not so pixelated. i belive 150Kb is the max size and you used about 14Kb... that would give you extra detail...
Don't be discouraged!, on my first entry i got dead last. and im still going on...

i look forward to seeing more of your work later on...
enjoy your day :)

Barcelona is also a little pixelated.

Ouch!
At 14Kb file, the compression absolutely killed the sky.
There's a tutorial on the site HERE that can help you in getting your images in their best quality, within the challenge rules. Good luck, but DON'T give up.

Isn't Barcelona great! Very unique effort - very digital and pixelated - on purpose - I hope so? Good? not so sure...
06/07/2007 10:10:11 PM
the sky is too blown out causing pixels to blow out and the picture lacks depth
06/07/2007 09:52:19 PM
The pixels distract a lot...sorry
06/07/2007 06:24:16 PM
I think you've overcompressed the photo somehow you've got lots of blocking
in the sky

You have captured an interesting scene here. There does appear to be rather a lot of pixellation in the sky.
06/05/2007 03:17:38 AM
no..

Processing isn't all that great. There are pixels or something all throughout the sky. May have potential .. perhaps check out some of the tutorials to help with processing. Good luck.

Heavy pixelization in your sky. Huge pixels infact.
06/02/2007 04:44:58 PM
I'm guessing the pixellation (?sp) must be on purpose, but it doesn't do anything for me except distract me.
06/02/2007 03:02:46 PM
Hard to see, noisy, and just not appealing to me....Sorry
06/02/2007 01:23:55 PM
very pixelated, it's only 15k!
06/02/2007 10:04:32 AM
you can see the pixels at the top. you should have blurred them out...
06/02/2007 12:40:25 AM
I see something funky going on in the sky that just doesn't work for me. Too bad because it pretty much ruins what could have been an interesting shot. What post processing did you do?
06/01/2007 05:28:36 PM
Very distorted.
06/01/2007 02:38:56 PM
The compression artifacts absolutely kill this image. I can't see past them.
06/01/2007 11:09:40 AM
I enjoy the light, color and contrast of this scene, I really like the highlights from the building tops...but forgive my if someone has already mention this, there seems to be some serious Jpeg compression issues, particularly in the sky. Here is a tutorial on preparing images for challenges that is really helpful if you have not seen it already.
06/01/2007 09:18:43 AM
Just a touch too dark imo
06/01/2007 02:05:09 AM
You have probably heard this already, but... The Highly compressed, JPEG, Pixely look, does not add to the image.
