Today, on the 25-10-2006, my image called "Agave Blue" reached a personal milestone for me.
It reached the magical number of "100 favorites" for an image, selected by our DPC members.
The member who helped to make one of my DPC dreams to come true, was

Thank you so much also, to each and every person, who has added this image to their favorites.....
I am so blessed, and in awe of each & everyone of you..........

Sherryl, you know its cruel showing me an image like this for critique! however, I like nothing better than being given a great shot to try to improve on.
When I first saw this shot I thought the main leaf should have more detail in it but am now thinking it would detract from the overall feel of the shot.
Keeping the square crop you chose I'd have liked to have seen the bottom left leaf curve comlete and maybe if there were enough leaves I think a 30% increase in the height of the image would have worked better?
Mind you, can you improve on a kodak POTD? |

Well, I am as proud as punch, as this image, "Agave Blue", has been selected as a "Kodak" Photo of the Day for May 3rd. 2006.
It will be seen on the big screen in New Yorks, "Kodaks" Time Square Picture Gallery. |

| I think the lines on the image are flawless and the colors work. Somehow I get a very feminie sexual feel from the photo. Maybe it is the color. It is very soft and fluid like that of a womans body, but as we all know tough as nails. (After all it is women who go through child birth) Agave grown here in NM as well, actually we share a very similar climate with Australia. |

| These would make amazing huge prints. I know they can print to big canvases...I am sure there would be a definite market for these in art shops throughout Austraila. You should look into this with a framing/gallery type business because you have a unique work kere and a style that is all yours |

I am just astounded by the number of members who have chosen my image "Agave Blue" to thier favorites.....

I only wish I knew about the "Square Crop" challenge a couple of days before announced, as I could have entered this "image" into that, but just two days to early.....

I have seen this photo go by the recently commented on page many times in the last 2 days. I finally had to stop and leave a comment myself. This is just stunning. The combination of colors here is so soothing and pleasing to the eye. This would look so pretty hanging over a bed or something.

Shez, this has to be your signature photo! I think you should have entered it in 'Painting with Light" the way the light dances here and there on that stunning image! At first glance, it almost looks like soft smoke in tones of blues and lavenders.
This is also going straight to my favorites folder!

It is exactly out of the camera "CROPPED" and followed the usual steps re submitting it into my portfolio.....I knew what I wanted when I first photographed it.....
