I love the friendly smile on her face.
It is very welcoming and the shot makes the restaurant(?) looks like a very nice and pleasant place to be. |

very very nice contrast here. the thing that is so hard about black and white photos is achieving details and contrast. I love the positioning of the people; and especially the lady in the neckbrace. Classic slice of life.
I disagree with some of teh others that call this a candid shot; there is nothing candid about it; you are wide open and exposed to all the subjects- They know you are there and are just going about their business; this is alot like a national geographic shot.

| Such a good candid shot. I've worked in 3 restaraunts myself, and my mom has been a waitress forever it seems. So I am pretty familiar with what is going on in this scene....and you captured it well. I guess that's why it ribboned:P |

We have a soda fountain in a drugstore in our town and I just love the slice-of-life depicted here. I especially applaud the lady in the background with the surgical neck collar on. Must be a very dedicated soul there!

| I like this everyday scene of coffee shop banter. The only thing I don't like is the merging of the two waitresses on the right. It's like the waitress with two heads. |

| The freckles on the arm of the woman on the bottom left seem to contain the constellation Scorpio. I find this far more meaningful than any horoscope that I've ever read. I can't see anything wrong with this image, but there's also nothing about it that suggests that it wasn't taken by someone's grandmother with a point and shoot camera. |

| I love the natural sense of this. I love the waitress leaning into the customer with the smile, with that easy going sense that you get in a good diner/coffee shop. The sepia is great. The busy aspect is conveyed like everybody is bustling around, working and enjoying their drink. Good job. Upon 2nd review, I'm upping the score. |

| I love candid shots! Good job on the B&W. My favorite so far. The lady on the left is slightly OOF, I would try cropping her tighter and place the lady on the right closer to the middle, since she is in sharp focus and has such a great facial expression. |
