I think there were many nice shots in the challenge, and well not all of them can get in the top 10
the interesting thing is the numbers in a challenge with 572 entries while the picture that came first had 348 views and only 175 votes |

Even that implies that somehow the voters "got it wrong."
How about Challenge Title Photos I Really Liked instead? |

My favs that didn't make the top 20 (some didn't even make the top 100):
ps: thanks to those who think mine was robbed - first time any image of mine made a thread like this.

Well, there certainly are many wonderful images in the monthly Free Studies. This month was no exception!
Here's my top picks (scored 8 or higher) that didn't make the Top 100.

I loved this one too. She does such amazing things with color. I watch. I try to learn. Hasn't worked, yet. ;) |

Keeping it to photos in my top 20 that placed outside the top 100, I have only one:
My two favorites in the challenge placed 20th and 47th:

Thanks for the mention! (mine is the spiky headed flower thing)
I was actually quite surprised that it scored as well as it did. |

I agree with you - these Free Study challenges just seem to be getting so large now that nice, quiet images really can get lost in the weeds. I am just happy that a few really excellent minimal photos ended up scoring so well.
I think I will refrain from entering these in the future, and save everyone the agony... including myself.

I really just wanted to show what I thought were some incredible pics that would otherwise fade into obscurity. Don't expect or want everyone to agree with my choices. I'll be more careful in the future. |

Thanks for starting this thread. I used to do more "Underrated" type threads but have fallen off on them lately.
In response to the OP's picks:
I really liked this one also ==> .
The only one I can really disagree with is this one ==> . I found it too grainy and somewhat static in nature (centered composition, nothing overly interesting).
I'll add more later, but for now the boss is hovering...need to go! :D |

Awww, thanks for the love on my pic (the gorilla) bud. It placed and scored right about where I thought it would but this is definitely a pleasant pat on the back.

That's the way the cookie crumbles. I thought mine deserved a little better than a 6.0xxx but that's what it got. Some of those pics I can agree with and some I can't. |

Eh, title is fine and I like your aesthetic. Thanks for pointing out some of these, as I didn't get a chance to vote the whole challenge this time and most weren't in the third I did get to. |

Thanks for starting the thread - these are always fun to look at, but giving the forum thread a title as you did will result in rather direct responses.
A softer title such as "underrated free study pics" might gain more favorable response.

Of course. I'm not trying to denegrate the great pictures that scored well, but to give some love to those that, for whatever reason, didn't.
Sheesh. |
